Art in the bunker-d: Anja Mameros fascinating game with lines and light
Kiel. A fascinating world of lines and colors unfolds in the bunker D of the Kiel University of Applied Sciences! Anja Mamero's “Tracing Lines” exhibition captivates the visitors with their mysterious works of art. Two happy boys in swimming trunks seem to jump out of nowhere into an imaginary water, their shadowy bodies only indicated by fleeting black brush strokes. But that is only the beginning - a composition of transparent, colorful lines overlaps the characters and ensures a breathtaking visual effect.
The artist Anja Mamero, who lives in Kiel, presents an impressive depth with her image series "Behind the Curtain" that amazes the viewers. "Behind the curtain from lines is a childhood memory, something that has influenced me positively," explains Mamero and thus awakens the curiosity of the visitors. Your works are not only art, they are also a game with secrets and memories that are hidden in the lively colors and shapes.
Coincident is important!
In her artistic development, Mamero has changed from the strict oil painting, which she previously practiced, to a freer design language. "The 100 percent never really appealed to me," says the Hamburg native, who plays with little inaccuracies and wobbly. These small mistakes give their work a lively note and show that chance plays an important role in their creative process.
The exhibition "Tracing Lines" is a review of Mamero's artistic journey, which is documented with various groups of work. Their early objects, which were made from bristles of street return machines, are particularly impressive. These metal strips, which she has mounted horizontally on wooden strips, create a fascinating game with light and shadow, which is further developed in her later work. The opening will take place on November 7th at 6 p.m. and the exhibition can be seen until December 20. An absolute must for art lovers!
