Hörnbad Kiel closed until January 10th: Why the swimming pool pauses!

The Hörnbad in Kiel will be closed this week until January 10, 2025. The reason for the closure is internal training of employees that take place annually. These training days are essential to improve services in the swimming pool.

Another reason for the closure are earlier restrictions that occurred in the leisure area of ​​the hearing bath. Finally, the pool was completely emptied at the end of 2024 due to foam formation after cleaning work, which had delayed the reopening. Difficulties in the water temperature also contributed to closure. Since January 2024, children and adolescents up to 18 years have been given free entry to the Kiel baths with a Kiel pass. By submitting the Kiel Pass, they receive a personalized value card that includes a swimming balance of 7.15 euros per month. Within a year, the credit can be up to 85.80 euros. The regular admission prices in the Hörnbad are: 1.65 euros for the leisure area (2.5 hours) and 1 euro for the sports area (2 hours). A full -day visit to the Katzheide summer pool also costs 1 euro, in the Eiderbad Hammer only 75 cents.

Except of the free offer are gastronomy, sauna and shop articles. The test cards can be output at the cash register of the hearing bath, which is open on Mondays from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Kiel Pass and an official document are required for the personalization of the test cards.
