Timetable change in the district of Plön: 32 stops get new names!

Plön, Deutschland - On December 15, 2024, the district of Plön has a significant timetable change from the Verkehrsbetriebe Kreis Plön (VKP). The new timetable not only brings optimized travel times, but also a renaming 32 stops. One of the central changes is the new name of the Schönberg, Ostseestraße stop, which will be called Schönberg in the future. These name changes have already been integrated into the current timetables, but will be displayed with the old names in the timetable information until December 14th, such as KN-Online reported.

In addition to the name changes, there will also be adjustments to the departure times. The travel times for lines 102, 200, 201 and 210 have been revised and significantly extended. This applies in particular to the weekend timetables, which are now designed in such a way that the turning times in Kiel are extended to improve punctuality. The Alfa lines in the Probstei will also be adapted to the new timetables, so that they will run at new times in the future. Line 454 between Neumünster, Bornhöved and Schmalensee also receives a revision that enables a better connection towards Trappenkamp and Bad Segeberg, such as vkp.de reports.

In the coming year, the appearance of the stops will be supplemented by new, uniform signs in the nationwide near.sh design. These signs will clearly state important information such as line numbers and destinations and thus significantly improve the passenger information at the stops. The VKP has emphasized that the timetable change should also help to make the operation less delayed and to increase the quality of transport for passengers. Current information on the new timetables is already available online to make planning easier.
