Mölln cheers: New skate facility opened-the meeting point for young skaters!

A spectacular day for the skilled work in Mölln! On Friday, October 18, 2024, after intensive five years of planning, the brand new skate system on the Schulberg was inaugurated with a lot of fan fans. On impressive 330 square meters, this fresh concrete construction offers the ideal terrain for skateboarders, BMX drivers and scooter enthusiasts, which could hardly let off steam in the old, dilapidated complex from the past. Visitors and sports enthusiasts flocked to the opening and ensured an unforgettable atmosphere.

The solemn opening ceremony set the first accent with the speech by city youth worker Christian Marquardt and Mayor Katharina Fiedermann. Fiedermann ceremoniously handed over the new facility to the youth and the mood immediately tipped into euphoric enthusiasm! An adventurous program with fascinating show performances and great tips from professionals, including Volker Lux, German vice champion in the Halfpipe skate, captivated the audience.

The young skaters were allowed to pursue their desire for speed and conquer the new facility. Under the watchful eyes of experienced professionals, many dared to do the first rounds. A DJ provided musical accompaniment, while an exciting skate contest rounded off the celebrations. Catering stands of local partners provided the hungry heroes with snacks and refreshments while enjoying the cheers of the day.

The new skate system that seamlessly to the youth center "Takt-Los!" bordered, the sporting opportunities for the youth of Mölln have changed rapidly. Thanks to generous funding from the Duchy of Lauenburg Nord e. V. and the State Office for Agriculture as well as support from the United Stadtwerke, this 320,000 euro facility will now be a central point of contact for all skate sports fans. From now on it is open every day from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.-a new paradise for adrenaline junkies!
