Habeck starts through: Direct candidate for Flensburg-Schleswig!
Federal Minister of Economics Robert Habeck has once again set up as a direct candidate for the federal election in the constituency of Flensburg-Schleswig! At a constituency assembly in Harrislee, the 55-year-old received an impressive 128 votes-with just one abstention. Opposite candidates? None! A clear victory for Habeck!
"We got out of the starting blocks well", Habeck announced full of enthusiasm. He has big plans for the election campaign and wants to present the unadorned truth to the voters. "Conflicts do not dissolve by admiring them," said his clear message. The minister is determined to banish populism from political discourse and find real solutions.
reforms and renewable energies in focus
Habeck emphasizes that Germany has to work through a huge deform backlog that was created, especially in the era of the grand coalition. The expansion of eco-electricity production has made progress in the past three years, and now it is time to reduce electricity prices. "This solves part of the social problems we have in Germany," he said. The renewable energies have already been proven to reduce electricity prices!
As the top candidate of his party for the Bundestag election on February 23, Habeck is under pressure. According to the current ARD Germany trend, the Greens are 14 percent, on par with the SPD, but behind the Union with 33 percent and the AfD with 19 percent. In the last Bundestag election in 2021, Habeck in Schleswig-Holstein was already able to win a direct mandate by leaving the CDU candidate Petra Nicolaisen (23.4 percent) behind with 28.1 percent of the first votes.
