Brunsbüttel focus: Experts discuss the future of the energy coast!

In a dramatic incident in Kronprinzenkoog, Dithmarschen district, four people were injured on Thursday morning when a car opened in a carport. The fire brigade was alerted around 3 a.m. after residents discovered the burning vehicle. The flames quickly spread to the carport and the adjacent house. Over 100 firefighters fought against the blazing flames, which could only be deleted around half past five. The two residents of the house suffered flue gas poisoning and were taken to the hospital, as well as two firefighters who had also inhaled too much smoke. The affected building is now uninhabitable, and fire experts will start the cause of the fire on Thursday.

The Ministry of the Environment emphasizes the need to further expand Brunsbüttel's role in the energy transition. Additional areas are urgently needed for future green energy projects, such as data centers, hydrogen productions and battery storage. These topics were the focus of the discussions at the forum.

award for local alliance in Heide

Another highlight of the day was the award of the local alliance for family from Heide by Federal Minister of Family Affairs Lisa Paus. The alliance received the "Seal alliance" predicate in the Palais of the Kulturbrauerei in Berlin. Since 2008, the alliance has been involved with over 40 partners from business, politics and associations in the region. Among other things, it organizes the planting campaign "Heide blooms" and supports health programs in Heider primary schools. With this award, the ministry would like to give the alliance more visibility and support its valuable work.
