A gripping duel in the Regionalliga Nordost! The FSV Zwickau prevailed in an exciting match against ZFC Meuselwitz and offered a dramatic course. The game started brilliant for the guests when Florian Hansch hit the net with a precise shot in the 5th minute and brought Zwickau behind. But the hosts could not be discouraged and quickly found their way back into the game. Just 17 minutes later it was Marc-Philipp Zimmermann who achieved the equalization with a header and had the Zwickau fans cheered.

Meuselwitz urges, Zwickau counters

The first half was a back and forth, with Meuselwitz almost took the lead again in the 32nd minute with a shot by Jan Halasz, but Zwickaus Keeper Lucas Hiemann was there and steered the ball over the crossbar. Luca Bürger also had a good chance in the first half, but scored just over it. After the break, the guests pushed further, and the Zwickau audience became increasingly restless when the lead for Meuselwitz was in the air. Citizen failed again in Hiemann, and Hendrik Wurr was just over.

The decisive moment

But then came the big moment for Zwickau! After a triple change in the 75th minute, a fresh wind came into play. Theo Gunnar Martens put a shot from 21 meters, which was repelled, but Zimmermann was on the spot and pressed the rebound over the line. Just two minutes later it was substitute Veron Dobruna who took the lead for Zwickau with a header after a cross. Meuselwitz was only able to play out sporadic opportunities, while Zwickau brought the narrow lead over time and celebrated the victory.
