Zwickau, Deutschland - A magical experience awaits the spectators with the premiere of the ballet "The Nusscracker" by Sergei Vanaev, which is based on the famous story "Nutcracker and Mausenkönig" by E. T. A. Hoffmann. On November 2 at 7:30 p.m., the stage of the Zwickau Gewandhaus becomes the scene of a fantastic journey that brings the magic of Christmas to life. In this captivating staging, two worlds face each other: Klara, who is in love with the mysterious gift of the nutcracker, and the enchanted dream world that she enters through a magical snow flower. The gripping plot includes the dramatic battle against the dreaded mouse king and is accompanied by an impressive choreography created by Sergei Vanaev itself. Under the musical direction of GMD Leo Siberski, the audience is kidnapped into a world full of miracles and adventures.

The actors and the team

The talented dancers bring the characters to life: Klara is portrayed by Rita di Bin or Mimori Hosokawa, while Stefano Neri and Minsu Kim take on the role of the nutcracker. The snow queen is embodied by Sofia Borgo or Ayane Nakamura. With a variety of dances, including the Spanish, Arab and Russian dance, the ballet becomes a truly festive experience for the whole family.
