Speed cameras on the A72: Where speeders have to be particularly careful today!

A flash can be expensive! This Tuesday, November 12th, 2024, mobile speed cameras are lurking on the A72 motorway and could quickly take an expensive photo if you drive too fast. Current information shows that speed checks are being carried out at two locations. Be careful and stick to the speed limits to avoid falling into the speed trap!

A mobile speed camera has been active since 7:35 a.m. near Sachsen/Kleinzöbern in the Vogtland district, where the speed limit is 130 km/h. However, this position has not yet been officially confirmed. In addition, a speed camera has been in use near Chemnitz, near Rabenstein, since 8:50 a.m., where the speed is limited to 100 km/h. Follow the rules to avoid unpleasant surprises!

Speeders beware!

If you don't follow the traffic rules, you can expect heavy fines and even driving bans! The Road Traffic Act (StVO) in Germany regulates the punishment for speeding and offers a clear catalog of fines for violations. Remember that radar detectors in cars and real-time warning apps on smartphones are prohibited. According to Section 23, Paragraph 1b of the StVO, such devices may not be operated or carried in order to disrupt traffic monitoring measures.

The A72 stretches from the Bayerisches Vogtland triangle near Hof to the motorway near Chemnitz and will be further expanded until 2026. So be vigilant and drive safely to avoid falling into the clutches of speed cameras!
