North Saxony cheers: Electricity and gas prices decrease significantly in 2025!

Nordsachsen. The energy prices in northern Saxony finally show positive developments! After years of price shocks for electricity and gas, a drastic reduction is in sight. From 2025, consumers can look forward to significantly lower costs. The Stadtwerke in Delitzsch and Eilenburg have now published the new prizes after the Mitteldeutsche Grundsorger Enviam announced the first price reductions.

The new electricity prices are a real ray of hope! For a model household with a consumption of 2500 kWh, the labor price drops by 5.60 cents to 37.91 cents/kWh. With a stable basic price of 145 euros, households now pay 1093 euros a year - a saving of 140 euros or around 11 percent compared to the previous year. The Stadtwerke Eilenburg stand out: here the customers in the Ilburg Clever Strom tariff only pay 819 euros, which corresponds to a sensational price reduction of 18 percent!

Gas prices in comparison

The Stadtwerke can also score with the gas! The GAS gas reduces the labor price by 1.58 cents to 14.14 cents/kWh. A single -family house with a consumption of 17,500 kWh now pays 2555 euros annually - a saving of 276 euros or around 10 percent. It is particularly favorable for the Schkeuditzer, who only have to pay 1956 euros for their gas. In Delitzsch and Eilenburg, prices also drop, with Eilenburg with 2127 euros and a price reduction of 15 percent.

Kay Lehmann, Managing Director of Stadtwerke Delitzsch, is pleased about the positive development: "We are pleased that we can offer our customers to reduce electricity and gas prices. This is made possible by a successful procurement strategy." Despite increasing costs for CO₂ emissions and network usage fees, the price reduction remains a ray of hope for consumers in the region.
