NHV Concordia Delitzsch: With a strong defense for 10: 0 victory!

Delitzsch is the place where an exciting handball game in the regional league took place last Saturday. The NHV Concordia Delitzsch received the HSV Apolda and, thanks to an outstanding defensive performance, was able to secure victory with 22:16 (11:10). This performance catapults the northern Saxons to the undisputed top position of the table with a perfect point account of 10: 0 after five match days. The general language wisdom in sport says that the defense championships wins, which has once more true here.

The guest coach Igor Toskoski, who attested his team a good fight, praised the NHV and its power on the field. "We played against the best team in the league," noted Toskoski and stated that the concords clearly showed why they held the lead. Chief coach Jan Jungandreas was also of the opinion that the defensive contributed decisively to the point of playing: "We did it really well on the defensive," said the trainer.

effective defensive and key player

In the first half, the NHV had a little difficult to find really into play, but quickly set up a significantly improved defense formation. Boris Teichert, a massive defender, and Niklas Seifert together formed an almost insurmountable block. Seifert was later even appointed "Man of the Match", which underlines its significant role during the game. Despite initial difficulties, the team found its rhythm quickly and appeared as a closed association.

The keeper Denny Alpers was characterized by numerous parades and only allowed nine goals in the first half. His efficiency helped the team to strengthen trust in their own defense. Jungandreas stated: "I don't even know how often we forced the opponent to play for time", which illustrates the perfect coordination within the defense.

consequences for the HSV Apolda

The HSV Apolda was faced with additional problems during the game, since her best goal scorer Kristjan Smiljcic met a blue card in the 37th minute. These rotary measures caused the guests to have difficulty organizing their offensive efficiently. Although Apolda tried again and again, they rarely found paths through the strong Delitzsch defensive.

After an interim 10:11 deficit, the team took over ten minutes to overcome Alpers again. The situation was already Russians for the TuS at that time, since Delitzsch was able to settle with a solid lead of 16:11.

Although the NHV had difficulties in the offensive and lacked many chances, it was never really possible to doubt the question of the winning purpose. The next opponent for the Concorden is SV Oebisfelde, who are currently in fourth place in the table. Jungandreas remains optimistic: "If we are focused, every opponent has a hard time."

Team constellation NHV: Neuhäuser, Alpers, Ramos Schwirtz; Eulitz (1), Seifert (3), Amtsberg (8/3), Prautzsch (1), Bielicki (1), Zierau, Oehlrich, Griehl (1/1), Hanner (2), Viehweger, Reinhardt (3), Teichert (2).
