The 29-year-old entrepreneur Murat Kök from the Bavarian Neunkirchen had already stated great ambitions for the project in spring, which is associated with an investment of around 1.5 million euros. The managing director of a car dealership, which he took over from his father, plans to expand his business in eastern Germany, where he found suitable land.

In the past, the property was provided with a marking band to draw attention to the planned facility, but little has happened since then. The planned construction for the washing park, which is designed with modern technologies, was originally supposed to begin in May. Although the city of Torgau received support, the project is determined - it is the question of whether it can still be realized.

Kök expressed that the main reason for the delay was the reconstruction of a bus stop at the planned entrance. This process dragged on by the end of July, which irrevocably delayed the start of the construction project. "We will continue to build and are still determined to implement our project," said Kök. He is aware of the challenges that the project brings and understands that the circumstances are necessary to wait for free capacities of the companies commissioned.

The construction activities were originally targeted for spring 2023, but the current situation now requires patience. Basically, the companies obliged for the first phase of construction are now employed by other projects. However, Kök hopes that you can start earthwork before the first frost. Its confidence is unbroken, he is aiming for the construction project until the end of September 2025.

The washing park will not only be designed for conventional vehicles, but also operate commercial vehicles and motorhomes. The investment is essentially intended for the property costs, the construction and the necessary technical equipment. The system is equipped with portal and steam beam places, among other things, and will also offer self-service vacuum cleaners.

Kök plans to intensify cooperation with regional companies, especially in the area of electrical, heating and sanitary installation. The Torgauer Stadtwerke will also play an important role in electricity and heat supply during the construction and when operating the washing park. The focus is also on the use of the latest technology, whereby renowned providers are selected for all equipment.

The waiting for the construction could soon be over, but at the moment the central question will remain: Will the ambitious washing park project in Torgau-Nordwest still be implemented into reality?
