Miniature miracles in the Oschatz museum: doll rooms awaken childhood dreams!

Oschatz. From November 16, the new special exhibition will take visitors into the fascinating world of doll rooms and merchant shops. These enchanting miniatures, which come from around 1900 to the present, promise not only to make children's eyes glow, but also to conquer the hearts of adults.

The museum director Dana Bach announces that a collector from the Lossatal presents her treasures. "Not everything is perfect, but worth seeing and preserving," explains the passionate collector, who has been enthusiastic about doll stubs since childhood. The detailed merchant shops, equipped with scales, coffers and sales items, arouse nostalgic memories from many visitors. A highlight of the exhibition is a smoke cuisine from 1850, the oldest exhibit that brings history alive.

At the opening on November 16 at 1.30 p.m., the exhibitor will personally be present and give exciting insights, including the connection to the popular television program "Bares for Rares". The show not only offers doll rooms, but also a sewing room, a hat shop and even a miniature Christmas bakery. And for the little visitors there is a nostalgic carousel, a ship swing and a ferris wheel!

The exhibition will be shown at the regular opening times of the museum until March 30, 2025: Tuesday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and 1pm to 5pm and on Fridays to Sundays from 1.30 p.m. to 5 p.m. An unforgettable experience for the whole family is waiting!
