Rail crossing in Delitzsch: Full closure from Saturday for asphalt work!

Delitzsch. An urgent construction site alarm in Delitzsch! The level crossing on Leipziger Strasse is completely closed from Saturday evening, November 2, 8 p.m. to Friday morning, November 8, 10 a.m. Reason? A massive bump that urgently needs to be removed! The railway has taken on the matter to improve the asphalt and to ensure security for all road users.

Detirement via Schkeuditzer Straße

During this critical phase, all road traffic is diverted via Schkeuditzer Straße. Drivers have to adapt to a new traffic light regulation in the crossing area Schkeuditzer Straße/Richard-Wagner-Straße, where there is also a petrol station. This redirection is particularly important because the construction work on the S 4/Bismarckstraße railway bridge continues until the end of February. Here, too, the traffic is diverted in large or urban areas via the B 183a and the K 7447.

This closure is not the first for the level crossing on Leipziger Strasse. Already in July, drivers had to be diverted due to asphalt work. In June, both level crossings in Leipziger and Schkeuditzer Straße were closed for a week due to track damage. There were cases in which work was completed prematurely, but this time the schedule remains determined: full closure from Saturday evening to Friday morning!
