Public toilet in Roßwein: Finally barrier -free for everyone!

Public toilet in Roßwein: Finally barrier -free for everyone!

Mittelachsen/Döbeln. An pressing problem for many downtown Roßwein will soon be solved! The only public toilet that is hidden behind the town hall and is often closed is replaced by a new, disabled toilet. This is built in the old herbal house at the parking lot next to the school round and should offer urgently needed comfort.

Thanks to the funding from the program "Favorite places for everyone", this project becomes possible. A total of six projects in the Region Döbeln benefit from these means that aim to reduce barriers and improve access to public institutions for everyone.

For 2025, the district of Central Saxony has an impressive 310,000 euros to promote accessibility. Around 233,000 euros are intended for small investments that are intended to reduce existing barriers in the cultural, leisure, leisure, education and health sector. In addition, there are 77,000 euros especially for accessibility in outpatient medical and dental practices.

Operators of publicly accessible institutions that have to submit their projects to the district office in Mittelachsen by November 29, 2024. The funding is earmarked and must be used for structural measures within twelve years.
