Leipziger Strasse in Döbeln: Construction site awaited until December 13th!
Döbeln. Leipziger Straße is becoming the construction site again! From November 25th, the street at the Quergasse junction will be closed for about three weeks. The reason is alarming lowering and cracks in the road, as the State Office for Road Construction and Transport (LasUV) reports. The situation is serious and the authority has already taken measures to clarify the causes.
The experts of the LASUV will carry out explorations to discover possible cavities. From December 2, the road superstructure will be broken up to further examine the causes of the material exits. "A suction excavator is used to protect lines and cables," explains the authority. The repair costs amount to around 50,000 euros, which are borne by the federal government. An expensive fun for taxpayers!
closure until December 13th
The blocking is expected to continue until December 13th. Drivers have to adjust to diversions: Coming from Riesa, it goes via the B 169 to the B 175 and further downtown Döbeln. Through traffic towards Nossen is led via S 32/Franz-Mehring-Straße to S 34/Schillerstrasse. Leipziger Straße has always been closed to construction work since the summer of last year, and now the next measures are pending. The patience of the drivers is put to the test again!
