Refugees from December: New opportunities for simple work in Central Saxony!
From December 1, 2023, a new program will be introduced in Central Saxony, which enables refugees to take on simple work. This pilot project aims to help the refugee people integrate faster into society and at the same time support the regional labor market.
The project, which was launched by local authorities, wants to make access to employment opportunities for refugees easier. Possible activities include simple, often minor jobs that require little qualifications. A central aspect of the project is to relieve the collecting structures and to promote the independence of the refugees.
Details and conditions of the program
The exact activities that refugees can perform have not yet been finally determined, but it is assumed that it will be work in the field of green care, cleaning or simple auxiliary activities. This type of job enables refugees to gain initial experiences in the German labor market and to achieve a certain income.
Another advantage is that the refugees are not only financially supported, but also have the opportunity to establish social contacts. By integrating into the world of work, one hopes that the refugees will find faster orientation in their new environment.
As part of the pilot project, various places and facilities will work together in middle saxony to offer these job opportunities. The exact locations and partner companies are still in the vote, but broad participation is sought in order to offer as many refugees as possible.
In addition, the local authorities are trying to create suitable framework conditions that make it easier for refugees to get into working life. This also includes the provision of information and, if necessary, training offers to facilitate integration.
This initiative is no coincidence. The need for faster integration has become more and more urgent in recent years. Especially in times when the shortage of skilled workers in Germany is noticeable, the program could make a valuable contribution to covering the need for workers and at the same time giving refugee people a perspective.
