Progress in the new tool shed: Fire brigade is finally going seriously!

In Hartha, the construction of the new tool shed for the Gersdorf volunteer fire brigade finally picks up, after considerable delays occurred through the bankruptcy proceedings of the original building contractor, HABA BAU. As local defense manager Robert Prosch explained, the completion has now targeted in 2025, despite half a year of building talent. "We are in the 46th week of construction, when we exclude the standstill," explained Prosch optimistically.

The new building is essential for the firefighters in Gersdorf because they are housed in a outdated, dirty and very small tool shed that is over a hundred years old. The current situation shows that progress emerges in construction. Work is currently being carried out on the laid screed and the lines for electrical installation and the sanitary facilities are manufactured. The electrical and painting work are next on the agenda.

progress after the new advertisement

After the original company could not complete the remaining work, a new advertisement was necessary. Fortunately, HAG Hoch- and expansion company, a local company, found its way into the project and is now continuing the construction site in the usual quality, as Prosch emphasizes: "We are now in arrears for half a year, but now the functional building is visibly forward."

The new tool shed is not a luxury object, but designed as a functional building that meets the needs of the fire brigade. In addition to the garage area, a social area with showers and sanitary facilities is also set up in order to offer the emergency services appropriate conditions. The roof structure has already been completed and the first tiles have been laid. The employees are currently working on the laying of the screed, followed by painting work and the installation of electrical components.

Special attention was also paid to the facade, which is kept in a light gray sound, while the gates are already installed in efficient anthracite. The men from the fire brigade endeavor to complete the building as quickly as possible, with Prosch remains optimistic: "We assume that we can complete the construction work within the next three months." The last steps include the completion of the outdoor facilities, including at least 15 parking spaces.

strategic repair for the place

A central element of the new building complex will be a fire -fighting water cistern with an impressive capacity of 100 cubic meters. This will not only help the places to support persistent extinguishing processes, but also offer strategic stabilization of the slope. "The cistern is so favorable in the place that it offers optimal solutions for missions in the area," said Prosch.

In addition, the tool shed is equipped with an emergency power unit. "This aggregate will ensure that we can work independently in an emergency," reveals Prosch, while the topic is on the table at the city administration.

The investment for the new tool shed is around two million euros, of which around half a million euros will be funded. However, the majority of the financing must come from the urban budget, which is a major challenge for the municipality. "We know that this is a financial effort, but we are confident that we will master this challenge," Prosch looks optimistically into the future.

The opening of the new device house is to be celebrated with a ceremony. For this event, Prosch actually plans a move with brass music, taking a look at the waste paper campaign that the fire brigade association organizes in the region on October 19. Prosch emphasizes that the proceeds from the collection of youth work will benefit in the fire brigade.

The community hopes to be able to act in the new premises soon to offer the firefighters the urgently needed conditions for their missions. A step that is of great importance for both the local fire brigade and the community, as recent developments show according to information from www.dnn.de .
