a special tournament
The atmosphere in the conference room of the SIZ was electrifying, while players from all over the region as well as students and employees of the TU Bergakademie compete against each other. Uwe Selle, 72 years old and chess friend since childhood, reported on the exciting tournament, which was a premiere for many participants. The chess community shows a remarkable commitment and a tireless fighting spirit!
The organization of the tournament was a great step in the development of the chess tradition at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg and brings the chess enthusiasts together. As at the last chess world championship, this event again makes it clear that chess is much more than just a game-it is a civil class class and strategic planning!
