Döbeln: Adventure playground is finally modernized after 20 years!

Döbeln. The city of Döbeln is planning a comprehensive renovation of the popular adventure playground on the monastery meadows, and after 20 years! The reason? The old black plastic slide had caused a lot of trouble in the last summers because they heated up unbearably. But now there is good news: a brand new stainless steel slide is already installed! Mayor Sven Liebhauser (CDU) promises that the new slide on the other side of the hill was placed in order to significantly reduce the problem. In addition, a rope railing is set up as a promotion aid for the little adventurers.

But that's not all! The city relies on a breath of fresh air and also replaces other play equipment such as the cable car and the climbing device with new, exciting models. However, the old concept remains, so that the children can continue to romp in their usual game environment. The new devices will be purchased this year, and the complete general overhaul of the playground should be completed in the first quarter of the coming year.

In recent years, the city has already invested vigorously in the renewal and new building of playgrounds. In addition to the small playground at the main train station, a new playground in Pommlitz was also opened. In addition, the kids in Mochau and Lüttewitz can look forward to new play opportunities. The play equipment was also pimped up in crowds, including in cooperation with Atlantics and Karls, which made a new slope slide possible. Döbeln shows itself as a pioneer in playground design and ensures that the little discoverers will continue to have a lot of fun in the future!
