In casual clothes and with his little bitch Lilly on a leash, the prince enjoys the calm atmosphere of the city, which after years in Potsdam appears like a retreat. "Everything is so close here - nature, the old town, the leisure opportunities," he enthuses about his new home, which he chose two and a half years ago.

The move to Görlitz was not only a fresh start for the 80-year-old, but also a return to his roots in Silesia. Born in Grünberg, today's Zielona Gòra, he has a deep connection to this region. "It's like coming home," he says of the city that he had visited for a long time. His passion for the region is not only shown in his daily exploration tours, but also in his commitment to animal welfare and promoting cultural projects in Silesia.

Franz-Friedrich is not only a family man and nature lover, but also a passionate classic car fan. He has already adopted four dogs from the shelter and is actively committed to animal welfare. He is also involved as deputy chairman of the Association for the Care of Silesian Art and Culture, which is campaigning for the preservation of the German heritage in Silesia. "We are working on preserving the cultural treasures of this region," he explains with pride.

His return to Görlitz is also an opportunity to renew old connections and initiate new projects. The prince plans, among other things, the restoration of historical sites and the promotion of literature and art in the region. "There is so much to do and I look forward to contributing to my part," he says. Franz-Friedrich Prinz von Prussia is not only a descendant of a royal family, but also an active part of the community that appreciates and preserves the beauty and heritage of his homeland.
