German-Polish police: New department for better border security!

On January 9, 2025, a new German-Polish police station was opened in Tuplice, Brandenburg. The official opening took place in the morning and pursues the goal of improving cross -border crime fighting in the border region to Poland. With the establishment of this office, the cooperation between the federal police and the Polish border police is intensified.

The new office is the fourth of its kind in Germany and is filled with 30 employees. Officials from both countries will carry out stripes together, even in cross -border train traffic. This is an important step, since the existing German-Polish departments in Swiecko, Ludwigsdorf and Pomellen are already concentrating on combating vehicle theft and smuggling.
