Cup in Stendal: vernissage with Rieke Schmieder and champagne reception!

Rieke Schmieder, a talented artist from Tangermünde, will exhibit her works on the 1st floor of the Stendal Regional Court from January 13, 2025 to the end of March 2025. Rieke Schmieder was born in Dresden, a city with a rich art and cultural tradition in the former GDR. She started her artistic career with an apprenticeship with Ingrid Griebel-Zietlow and at the Dresden University of Art. In 1987 she emigrated to the FRG by marriage.

After a two -year stay in Tuscany, where she worked as a master student at Alfio Rapisardi in Florence, she has been living with her husband and two children in Jerichow since 1998. She has been active as a freelance artist since 2002 and opened her own gallery in Tangermünde in 2006, where she organized art orders, painting courses, workshops and art trips. In addition, it works in the equipment of public institutions and hotels, the book illustration and the pottery of sound figures.

Another highlight in Rieke Schmieder's artistic work is the upcoming event "Viva L’Arte", which will take place on January 31, 2024 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the small market hall in Stendal. Here she will again issue works that include landscapes, abstract images, portraits and socially critical works. Originally planned for February 1, the event was pre -placed for organizational reasons. The exhibition in the small market hall is organized by the Altmark e.V. volunteer agency.
