Dynamo Dresden: New training camp on the Turkish Riviera!
The Dynamo professionals are currently enjoying their well-deserved Christmas vacation, but preparations for the second half of the third division season are just around the corner. On January 3., coach Thomas Stamm asks the team into the first training session of the new year. Just three days later, the team will receive a one-week training camp on the Turkish Riviera, despite the initial plans to train in the domestic Walter Fritzsch Academy. A surprising call from Maurizio Gaudino, the former Bundesliga professional, got this change rolling. Gaudino, who works for the “TSSTUR” company, presented a lucrative offer that could not miss the sporting direction of Dynamo.
As an intermediary of "TSSTUR", Gaudino has put together a complete package for the training camp: The initiative covers all costs on site, including the hotel and training facilities, with a total value of around 50,000 euros. An exception is the back and forth flights that Dynamo has to pay out of its own pocket. The team is housed in the luxury department of Concorde de Luxe in Lara and has already planned a friendly against Rot-Weiß Essen on January 11th to optimally adjust to the second half of the season. Thomas Stamm, who has been a coach of Dynamo Dresden since May 2024, sees a win-win situation for everyone involved in this camp, economically and sporty for the association.
With a record of 40 wins from 111 games in the third division, Stamm has proven that he is a successful coach, and his new plans hope for a successful start to the second half of the season. The partnership between Dynamo and the tourism agency is also intended to strengthen the economic basis of the association, while players can further perfect their skills in the warm climate.
