DSC volleyball players celebrate sixth victory and conquer the top of the table!

Dresden. An exciting volleyball evening in the Margon-Arena: The DSC volleyball players have VfB Suhl with a clear 3: 0 (25:23, 25:22, 25:20) defeated and thus smashed to the top of the table! Coach Alexander Waibl was satisfied, even if he found: "It was not a game with shine and Gloria. But still clearly won." With this victory, the DSC women have now won all six games this season and are the only undefeated players in the league after the German champion Stuttgart surprisingly lost in Potsdam.

chaos before the game

Before the game there was a little chaos: VfB Suhl arrived late and wanted to move the start of the game. The volleyball league initially took place, but the DSC team was not included. Finally, the hosts intervened and the league rowed back. The game started on time at 7 p.m., and despite the nervous initial phase, the hosts prevailed. "Such games after an emotional victory as in Schwerin are the hardest," said Waibl and referred to the tiredness of his players.

In the second set, the Suhlers initially led, but the DSC fought back. Marta Levinska, the top scorer, provided the 2-0 set lead with spectacular points. In the third set, the DSC was dominant and after 82 minutes Nathalie Lemmens converted the first match ball. Levinska was the outstanding player with 24 points, but the golden MVP medal went to the Libera Patricia Nestler, who was enthusiastic about the strong team performance.
