Lemjid fights back: two fights in a week for Leipzig boxers!
Leipzig. The aspiring boxer Chamseddine Lemjid, who has driven up his professional career in the past year and a half A crucial return to the ring! After an almost one-year idle phase, in which he had to wait for the right offers despite fitness and fighting spirit, the moment has come: Lemjid will compete in his tenth professional fight in Lower Saxony this Saturday and is planning another highlight on November 2 in Chemnitz, where he will be seen at the SES-Box-Gala from 10:20 p.m.
In spring, Lemjid received a tempting offer from his Tunisian homeland: participation in the Olympic qualification in Thailand, which would have been a dream for the talented half-heavy weight. But the financial considerations made participation impossible - at 40 working hours a week in Taucha there was no time for intensive preparation. "Olympics would have been the biggest for Chamse," enthuses his manager Jonny Orban, who targets the top class with him.

His upcoming fight in Gifhorn is a big challenge for Lemjid! The Hungarian opponent, who has 26 fights, could have an unpleasant surprise for the Leipziger. Manager Orban is aware of this and emphasizes that Lemjid should make optimal use of the fight time to get back into the competition rhythm. And as if that weren't enough, the experienced Ukrainian Yevgenii Makhtenieko is waiting for him next week, a man who has already boxed against four ex-world champions-a real test in the ring for the Leipziger! Lemjid is currently fighting to defend his number 102 in the world rankings. A missing the competition would have meant flying out of the ranking - and he cannot take that!
"We have to finance the two upcoming opponents ourselves, since Lemjid is without a promoter and boxing stable," explains Orban. A total of 2000 euros are incurred for the costs in Gifhorn, which are to be refinanced through sponsors. There were also offers from Montenegro for a title fight that was rejected because they were at short notice. Lemjid is now focusing on returning to his roots in the ring.
