Highlights of nature photography: Vernissage in Chemnitz enthusiastic!

Chemnitz, Deutschland - A spectacle of nature photography awaits visitors in Chemnitz! On Wednesday, November 6th at 5 p.m., the "highlight of nature photography 2024" in Tietz will be opened. The Chemnitz photographer Anne Lindner will speak about the fascinating "adventure of wildlife photography" at the opening. Entry to the exhibition is free-an absolute must for all photography lovers!

The exhibition presents the best works of the international photo competition, which received over 19,000 entries from 34 countries this year. The jury, consisting of four experts, has selected the most outstanding photographs in eleven categories, with the overall winner Simon Schneider from Upper Bavaria. The jury was so enthusiastic about his impressive picture of a kingfisher in a dive, taken with four flash units that the decision for the winner was easier than ever.

unique categories and new technologies

The issuing poster is adorned by the majestic kingfisher, while a curiously looking snow vulture, photographed by Xingchao Zhu, presented the invitation to the vernissage. This recording was awarded the Fritz Pölking Award and shows the creative artistry of the photographer. The exhibition includes popular categories such as "Magnificent Wilderness" and "The Beauty of Plants", and a new category was even introduced for 2024: "Add with ai". This recognizes the innovative connection between nature photography and artificial intelligence, as the impressive work of Markus van Hauten shows, the Northern Lights held out of a difficult to access cave in Iceland.

The exhibition can be seen from November 7, 2024 to January 12, 2025 on the 5th floor of the adult education center, and the opening hours are based on the regular times of the adult education center. Do not miss the opportunity to experience these breathtaking nature shots!
