FC Eilenburg fights bravely, but Chemnitz wins almost 1-0!

Chemnitz. A gripping duel in the regional league! FC Eilenburg gave everything in the away game against Chemnitz FC on Sunday, but the hoped -for point failed to materialize. In front of 3997 enthusiastic spectators, the CFC secured the narrow 1-0 victory. The decisive goal scored the 22-year-old Ephraim Eshele, who hit a header without half an hour. Eshele, who moved to the sky blue in summer, is the younger brother of Manassee Eshele, who played for Chemistry Leipzig.

The FC Eilenburg did not let itself get down and fought passionately for the equalization. After half -time, the team of coach Sascha Prüfer had its best phase, but the ball just didn't want to go online. Eilenburg's keeper Niclas Edelmann kept his goal with flying colors clean, while the CFC left further chances. Chemnitz FC has now won impressive six of the last eight competitive games and remains the team of the hour in the regional league.

FC Eilenburg gets a few options

Eilenburg was brave over the entire 90 minutes and could not be discouraged. They were about to equalize several times, among other things by fields, whose header was parried after a corner by CFC keeper Daniel Adamczyk. Jonas Marx also tried his luck with a shot from a distance, but the ball passed the destination. Shortly before the break, Eilenburg was lucky when Lennert staged Möbius Marx with a head, but he was drosing from five meters. The Eilenburgers can go into the upcoming home games against Plauen and Erfurt with new confidence.

Now follow home games against Plauen and Erfurt

On November 30th, the basement duel against VFC Plauen is pending. A victory could bring Eilenburg up to one point to the Vogtländer. A week later, Rot-Weiß Erfurt comes to northern Saxony. The tension increases!
