in Chemnitz the festive season mreaks! At the weekend, the impressive 26 meter high Christmas tree was set up on the market square. This majestic tree, a spruce from the Wildenthal area, is a real gem and brings the Advent mood to the city. The search for such stately trees is becoming increasingly difficult, but this around 60 year old tree has made it!
The setting up of the tree was a real spectacle! With a crane, the tree was raised to height after a multi -hour drive on a low loader on Saturday. Dozens of onlookers gathered, mulled wine and grilled food in hand to celebrate this special event. The tree is festively decorated on Monday and the anticipation for the upcoming holidays is increasing!

A total of 16,000 lights will transform the Christmas market into a sparkling sea of lights. The market is opened on Friday before Advent - a highlight for all Christmas lovers!
