On Wednesday, December 4, at 6.30 p.m., the Archaeological State Museum of Brandenburg opens its doors for a unique lecture that reveals the secrets of prehistoric rolls. The focus is on the sensational discoveries from the prehistoric burial ground of Niederkaina near Bautzen, the most extensive of its kind in Saxony. Here over 150 vegetable dishes from 95 graves of the Billendorf culture were recovered!
The researchers are on an exciting mission: they want to find out how the flour was prepared for these millennia -old baked goods. Which secret ingredients and baking agents were used? And which methods were used to bake these delicious rolls? The aim of the experiments is particularly exciting - to reconstruct the taste of these prehistoric treats!
