HSG Ostsee is subject to Magdeburg again: Frustration after 36: 42 defeat!
A bitter evening for the HSG Ostsee! In a gripping duel against the reserve of SC Magdeburg, the Ostholsteiners had to accept a bitter defeat. After a promising start, in which they were in the lead up to the 16th minute, they collapsed under the pressure of the Magdeburgers. With a catastrophic error rate on the offensive and technical breakdowns, they finally got 9:10 behind - a turning point that significantly influenced the game.
Despite a break from coach Nico Kibat shortly before half-time at a stand of 14:16, the HSG failed to catch up. Instead, shortly after the change of sides, they conceded three more goals and quickly found their way back with 14:20. The technical inadequacy and the missed seven -meter ran through the entire game like a shadow, while Magdeburg confidently pulled his game through and always kept control.
The result: HSG Ostsee-SC Magdeburg II 36:42 (14:17)
In the end there was a goal-rich 36:42 on the scoreboard, which the HSG Ostsee threw back to the 14th place in the table with 6:14 points. Co-coach Michael Korb was visibly frustrated after the game: "It was now the third game that we played constantly really badly." He further analyzed: "We become hectic, don't play the ball. Magdeburg has continued cleverly, and we have no remedy for a quick speed handball." The HSG Baltic Sea faces a challenge to get out of this low point.
