In Magdeburg, around 400 dead sheep were discovered on a property in the east of the city on Sunday. The animals had died or were in poor health, which led to an immediate use of the authorities. The investigation is directed against a 62-year-old woman from Gommern in Jerichower Land. Until recently, this had a dike maintenance contract with the state company for flood protection and water management Saxony-Anhalt (LHW). The veterinary office has taken over these animals and ensures their supply of water and hay.
