A shocking incident occurred on the A7 on Friday! Around 2:45 p.m., a tractor-trailer from the district of Harz in Saxony-Anhalt fell on flames for previously unknown reasons. The driver, a 41-year-old Ukrainian, was lucky enough to control the burning truck onto the hard shoulder in good time.

But the fire was not long in coming! As soon as the saddle tractor had caught fire, the flame also spread to the fully loaded trailer, which was filled with a huge amount of sweets. The result? A spectacular inferno that completely burned down the entire tractorizer! Fortunately, the driver was not injured, but the incident led to a huge traffic jam of over 20 kilometers on the A7 and A5. The highway had to be completely blocked for several hours, while the fire brigade from Kirchheim, Niederaula, Kleba and Hattenbach were in action to extinguish the flames and carry out the salvage work.
