Harz. On Wednesday, November 13th, winter in the Harz has finally arrived! The first snow of 2024 turned the Brocken into a fantastic winter landscape. The Harz narrow -gauge railways cheer on Instagram: "The first snow is here!" and show impressive pictures of the snowy Brockenbahnhof.

The German press agency dpa was also on site and published numerous photos of the first snowflakes on the Brocken. Hikers enjoy the wintry atmosphere and the snow-capped landscape, while the frosty temperatures ensure magical hoarfarming cover. The weather remains wintry! According to the meteorologists, it continues to be frosty with light snowfall and fog. The temperatures commute around freezing, and the German Weather Service DWD confirms that there is no change in the weather in the coming days. The BrockenCam and other webcams show the white splendor that has transformed the chunks and all of Northern Germany into a winter wonderland.

Compared to the previous year, the first snow in the Harz fell two days later, on November 11, 2023. The winter conditions not only attract nature lovers, but also photographers who want to capture the beauty of the Harz.
