Police smash Irish burglar gang: 14-year-old arrested!
Dessau-Roßlau- The police have uncovered a national gang of burglars, and a 14-year-old is in the middle of the action! In October a youth and a 25-year-old woman were arrested in Viersen (North Rhine-Westphalia), both Irish citizens. The public prosecutor's office Dessau-Roßlau reports that when trying to flee across the Dutch border, they were caught.
In the car of the suspect, which was also stolen, the investigators found several hundred thousand euros in cash, valuable jewelry and other burglary tools. Both are now in custody. This arrest is part of a large-scale investigation into a series of burglaries that have been committed in several federal states since August 2024, including Saxony-Anhalt, Brandenburg, Bavaria, Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate and Thuringia.
burglaries throughout Germany
The perpetrators often operated during the day while the residents were not at home, leaving massive damage to property. A total of around 50 burglaries were registered, most of them in Bavaria. After a number of eight break-ins in the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district, a special investigation group "Haus" was founded, which now successfully follows the masterminds of these criminal machinations.
The police continue the investigation and are looking for further suspects with Irish and British descent. The hunt for the burglars continues, and the excitement in the affected regions remains high!
