Anhalt-Bitterfeld/Leipzig-A 26-year-old man from Anhalt-Bitterfeld has been glued to an unscrupulous internet fraudster! In search of an apartment in Leipzig, he came across a tempting online serat in August that immediately caught him. The young man transferred an incredible 3,700 euros - deposit and several monthly rents in advance! He was supposed to receive the keys by post in early November, but the hoped -for delivery failed to materialize. He tried desperately to reach the landlord, but all attempts to contact failed. After all, he had no choice but to go to Leipzig himself. There he experienced the shocking truth: the apartment had already been rented and he had been the victim of a brazen fraud!

police warn of fraud stitches

The police have already pointed out this dangerous trend! This fraud stitch aims to target unsuspecting housing seekers. The online offers are often fictitious and the fraudsters put the money into their own pocket. The warning is clear: be careful when you come across advertisements, offer the apartments at prices that are far below the usual rent index. And you should never make payments before visiting the apartment!
