Christmas markets in the large region: festive highlights 2023!

The anticipation for the festive season increases! The Christmas markets open their goals in Saarland and promise an unforgettable experience. The Saarbrücker Zeitung has put together the highlights for the Advent season - and they are truly spectacular!

The "Saarbrücker Christkindl-Markt" starts on November 18 and attracts visitors daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. A special highlight is the flying Santa Claus, who with his reindeer sled over the heads of the guests and tells the story of Rudolph. The festive stands are located at the historic St. Johanner Markt and along Bahnhofstrasse - a must for all Christmas lovers!

More Christmas markets in Saarland

In Saarlouis, the Christmas market opens on the small market on November 21 and offers a varied stage program every day from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The "Merziger Christmas Market" invites you from November 28th, where specially made log cabins can be reserved for Christmas parties. The "Christmas garden" in the German-French garden in Saarbrücken on the first weekend in Advent also promises a real festival of the senses with around 140 stands.

The "Bergweihnacht" on the plateau and the sixth "Neunkircher dog Christmas market" on December 1st are further highlights. And that's not all! The "Blieskasteler Christkindlmarkt" and the popular "St. Wendeler Christmas and Medieval Market" bring a festive atmosphere with mulled wine, cinnamon waffles and a dwarf forest. The Christmas village in Homburg and the "Last Minute" Christmas market in St. Ingbert round off the offer. The Advent season in Saarland will be a real festival for all senses!
