Saarbrücken: Full closure in Dudweiler from October 8th - traffic affected!
The state capital Saarbrücken has taken measures to renew the street "near Gerstnershaus" in Dudweiler. From Tuesday, October 8th, milling and asphalt work will begin there, which specifically affect the section between house numbers 1 and 10b. This work comes from the city administration and are part of the continuous efforts to improve the infrastructure and to optimize the road conditions.
The area concerned is locked during the implementation of this work, which means that road users cannot park there any vehicles there. In order not to put a strain on the traffic, the entry ban on the street "Kirscheck" and the street "near Gerstnershaus" at home number 32 during the construction work is lifted. Thus, residents and other travelers can temporarily use access to these roads, which potentially makes it easier to redirect.
Details about the work
citizens who are on foot can still use the sidewalks, so that pedestrian security is preserved during the measures. It is also ensured that rescue and fire engines have access to the affected areas at any time. This is particularly important in order to be able to react quickly in an emergency and to ensure optimal security for all residents.
The total cost of the work is around 20,000 euros, and the construction work is expected to be completed by Thursday, October 10th. Nevertheless, it should be noted that weather -related delays can occur at any time, which is not unusual for construction projects.
