Kleinblittersdorf, Deutschland - The Saarbahn is facing a huge chaos! For weeks, passengers have had to fight with massive failures and crowded trains. The reason? The ready -to -use vehicles are simply missing! The spare parts procurement is a real challenge, and the introduction of the new Saarbahn generation has only shifted until 2025. That means: the problems are far from over!

"The restrictions and failures cannot be avoided in the coming weeks," explains Saarbahn Managing Director Karsten Nagel in an official message. Drastic adjustments in the timetable must therefore be made for the S1 line. But don't worry! The cross-border traffic between Saargemünd and Kleinblittersdorf remains unaffected by these changes-here will continue to be driven every 30 or 60 minutes.

The new timetable changes primarily affect the area between Hanweiler, Kleinblittersdorf and Brebach. Here the clock is drastically increased from 15 to 30 minutes. Particularly annoying: the Saarbahn, which previously drove from Hanweiler towards the city center at 7.03 a.m., is replaced by a joint bus! In addition, two out of eight trips per hour are canceled between Brebach and Riegelsberg Süd. The good news? The 15-minute cycle remains in the section from Riegelsberg Süd to Heusweiler Markt, but there are also two trips here in the evening.

"We are aware of the dissatisfaction of passengers and sincerely apologize," continued Nagel. The Saarbahn workshop team works under high pressure, sometimes even with special shifts, to solve the problems. The restrictions in the timetable are expected to apply until November 29th - a nightmare for the commuters!
