Learning Russian at the HAK: Students discover language connections in Prague!
As part of an exciting exchange, the students of the HAK Zwettl attended the Czech metropolis of Prague to deepen the learning of the Russian language. During their trip they discovered surprising parallels between the Russian and the Czech language. One student noticed: "Over time, you really understand a lot. Especially when you read the words loudly." Such experiences show how important cultural and linguistic interactions are for learning, as Noen reported.

In Germany, special intensive classes at vocational schools make access to the German language easier for the side entrants. This offer is aimed at pupils who have to acquire basic language skills in order to switch to vocational training. The intensive classes last up to two years and offer a combination of language support and professional language acquisition. Supplementary social pedagogical support is provided by the Hessian Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration to promote integration and open up access to training and professional worlds, as Kultus.hessen.de reports.
