Dramatic home game: TUS04 is not taming Zweibrücken and loses 22:29
In the exciting C youth game on Saturday afternoon, the team of TuS 04 KL-Dansenberg had to accept a defeat against the SG Zweibrücken. After the impressive victory of the Zweibrücker against HLZ Friesenheim-Hochdorf a week ago, they confidently competed in Dansenberg.
The guests started strongly and quickly took the lead with 0: 2. But the Dansenberg boys were not intimidated and equalized in the fifth minute to 3: 3. Unfortunately, they subsequently had difficulties to withstand the fast attacks by the Zweibrücker. Within a few minutes, the SG expanded its lead to 5:10 in the 14th minute. Liam Wilhelm, who was struck by a cold, could not perform the usual performance, which was too much needed in the defense.
The reaction of the trainer
coach Jens Schnitzlohne criticized the lack of teamwork and the exchange between defense and goalkeeper, which had previously worked well in another game. The attack game was also too hectic, which led to numerous technical mistakes. At a crucial moment, the coaching team called for a team time-out that should help the team to focus again.
from this break, the TuS players showed an improved performance. Paul Schnitzlohne took responsibility and scored a total of three out of nine goals in the first half. Nevertheless, the first half ended with a gap of 10:16.
The initial phase of the second half turned out to be critical, since the SG Zweibrücken could pull away with a 4: 0 run to 10:20. However, the key of the game changed after another break, and the Dansenberger fought back to 12:20, with Liam Wilhelm brought the audience to be happy with an impressive steal.
In the last few minutes, the performance of the TuS boys increased, and they only scored one goal in the last five minutes, which helped them to shorten the distance to seven goals. The final score of 22:29 was an instructive and a little too high for many. "The technical errors were decisive for the defeat," said Andreas Wilhelm after the game. It was positive that all four seven meters were transformed.
The scorers for TuS 04 were: Paul Schnitzlohne (9/4), Maxi Kerner (4), Lasse Eberhard (3), Julius Matheis (3), Finn Schünemann (2) and Liam Wilhelm (1). Despite the loss, the last 20 minutes with a 12: 9 victory on the side of the TuS remained a ray of hope for the young team, which can also assert itself against strong opponents, as the analysis of www.tus-dansenberg.de shows .
