Nibelungen Festival 2025: Dragons and heroes combined in Worms!

On Wednesday evening, an exciting chapter was opened in the history of the Worms Nibelungenfest games! The makers of the festival presented the brand new piece "See from Ash", which will bring the entire Nibelungen "to the stage. Author Roland Schimmelpfennig and director Mina Salehpour, both part of the Worms Festival community for the first time, were presented as creative minds behind this spectacle. Indendant Nico Hofmann beamed with pride of winning one of the most sought -after authors in the German theater landscape.

The piece "Lake from Asche" promises an epic experience that comes up with the legendary figures such as Siegfried, Hagen von Tronje and the kings Gunther, Brünhild and Kriemhild. Schimmelpfennig said that the Nibelungs saga is told in all its splendor, and the audience can look forward to a staging that combines both traditional and modern elements. A special highlight: for the first time a dragon will be on the Worms stage! Director Salehpour reveals that the dragon is her favorite figure and plans to present him in an exciting way.

The city of Worms and the state of Rhineland-Palatinate have already stood behind the festival and confirmed their support. Advance ticket sales began on October 31, and the anticipation for this extraordinary theater event is noticeable!
