Security risk: ATMs in Trier disappear from the region!

Due to the increasing danger from ATM blasting in the Trier region, banks have taken drastic measures. In Waxweiler, where Irmburg has been running her petrol station for 60 years, the machines disappeared after more than 20 such attacks have been recorded in two years. The closure of these devices presents customers with enormous challenges.

New measures against blasting

In Pronsfeld, the container was recently set up next to a bank, but many locations are no longer safe after acts of perpetrators, so that some ATMs have now disappeared from the public.

Plans to find alternative solutions: withdraw money at petrol stations or to strengthen the cooperation between different banks so that your customers have a larger selection of ATMs. But the despair of the population remains: "We want the return of a bank branch in Waxweiler," says Schaus, "that would be a big step in the right direction."
