The 80s icons Duran Duran are back and launched an eerily beautiful new edition of their Halloween album with "Danse Macabre de Luxe"! A year after the publication of the original, which came up with creepy sounds and a mixture of own songs and cover versions, the album is now expanded by three new tracks. This musical journey is perfect for the dark season and promises an experience that captivates the audience.

The dark instrumental "Masque of the Pink Death" opens the album and takes the listeners into an eerie world of sound that is reminiscent of classic horror films. This is followed by the reorganization of the timeless hits "Nightboat", which has lost none of its shine after all these years. A highlight is the brand new "Black Moonlight", an electronic cracker that invites you to dance. "Love Voudou" from the 90s also fits seamlessly into the dark concept and shows how well the band transports its past to the present.

Surprising cover versions

A real bang is the cover version of Billie Eilish's "Bury a Friend", which Duran Duran reinterpreted with fresh wind and unmistakable style. The classic "Supernature" by Cerrone shows Simon Le Bon's vocal skills in full splendor. The cover of Elos "Evil Woman" also remains loyal to the original, while the title track of the album with hypnotic beats and catchy hand clapse is convincing. "Secret October 31st", an atmospheric new recording, rounds off the experience.

The album also offers an exciting mix of other coverers, including "Ghost Town" by The Specials and the stirring "Paint It Black", which demonstrates the ability of the band to reinterpret classics.
