Trier-Saarburg, Deutschland - The German winemakers can celebrate! With the publication of the wine guide in 2025 by "Der Feinschmecker" and the "Falstaff Weinguide 2025", the excellence of the German wine scene is impressively recognized. Over 500 wineries were tasted by experts, including top companies from Rhineland-Palatinate, which have emerged with top ratings. The 30 "best of the best", which are listed in the wine guide of "Der Feinschmecker"-are particularly outstanding-including prominent names as the Fritz Haag winery in Brauneberg and Ernst F. Loosen in Bernkastel-Kues.

The top wineries in the focus

The jury praises the quality of the Rieslings from these wineries and attests "first -class" wines with "straight elegance and a lot of substance". While gourmet tips are published for trying and enjoying, the Falstaff Weinguide also shows the strength of the year 2023, in which King Riesling dominates with 146 top positions. Five wines were found in the list with the maximum rating of 100 points, which is unique in the history of the guides. These were selected from different regions of Germany and reflect on the impressive development and international fame that German wine producers have achieved.

Ceremonally at the presentation of the Falstaff Weinguide 2025, moderator Jan Hartmann and publisher Prof. Wolfgang Rosam welcomed around 250 guests at the Althoff Grandhotel Schloss Bensberg. Here the coveted falstaff trophies were awarded, with worthings for the best sommelies, collections and winemakers of the year. In addition, the subsequent walking dinner exquisite dishes were served that perfectly match the top wines. The dynamics of the German wine industry are impressively documented in these publications, since the wines and wineries can assert themselves at an international level.
