The focus: exhibition in Saarburg starts on October 16!

in a world that is confronted with drastic challenges such as poverty, hunger and inequality, the question of the causes of violence and intolerance increasingly arises. Against this background, the Saarburg cultural foundation has launched an important project. On October 16, the "Human Dignity" exhibition will open in the Mabilon bell foundry, which deals with the essential topic of human dignity. This topic exhibition invites visitors to think about the basic values that are inherent in all people.

The aim of the exhibition is to create a space in which visitors can be inspired to actively think about the concept of human dignity. Dr. Anette Barth, Managing Director of the Saarburg cultural gourmet, underlines: "The exhibition creates visibility for problem solutions and appreciates local projects that raise awareness of human dignity." Here not only information should be conveyed, but also the possibility of dealing with the topic emotionally.

interactive experiences and educational opportunities

The specially designed course, which leads the visitors through various stations, is particularly noteworthy. These stations combine audio-visual content that should have an emotional and inspiring effect. Dana Overkott, one of the concepts of the exhibition, emphasizes the importance of such interactive formats: “Exhibitions offer an opportunity to immerse yourself in a special space. Here people can identify with topics that may go under in everyday life.”

Another future -oriented aspect of the exhibition is the cooperation with schools and youth projects. Christine Raglewski, project manager at the cultural foundation, explains: "Early education on topics such as human dignity and peace is the key to forming a new generation that actively campaigns against social radicalization." This commitment is intended to help young people make well -founded decisions in order to give social cohesion and democracy new impetus.

The ceremonial opening will take place on October 16 at 6:00 p.m. in the Saarburg cultural foundation, Staden 130, 54439 Saarburg. The doors are open from 5:30 p.m. and a prior registration is requested at Sociocultur@kulturgiesserei-saarburg.de.

The concept frame of this exhibition is not to be considered isolated. The "Human Dignity" initiative has already proven itself in various projects. Examples include the #Pevebell exhibition by Michael Patrick Kelly, which was shown in the cultural gourmet in 2021. The aim of this initiative is to promote peace awareness in society through various cultural and social projects.

With this newly created theme exhibition, the initiative strives to carry the topic of human dignity far beyond the borders of Saarburg. In the future, it is planned to present the exhibition at different locations in Germany and Europe in order to reach a broader public and to sensitize people of all ages to this basic topic.
