Oberbillig, Deutschland - An emotional festival of solidarity recently took place in Oberbillig! Members of the German Society for Muscle Disease (DGM) gathered to hand over a record -breaking donation of 17,000 euros. This impressive result is the result of the 20-year DGM star trip, which has established itself as a significant event in the region and has collected countless donations for people with neuromuscular diseases since its foundation.
Markus Betz, the initiator of the DGM star trip, recalled the beginnings of the event in his moving speech, which was launched in 2004 to commemorate his late son Marius. Marius lost the fight against muscle disease at the age of only 22. Betz emphasized that the star trip not only creates money, but also attention and solidarity for those affected. Words of thanks went to all supporters, from the local associations to the sponsors and the tireless helpers.
