New Year's reception in Maikammer: Festive concert and networking!

On January 10, 2025, the traditional New Year's reception will take place in the community center in Maikammer. District Administrator Dietmar Seefeldt invites the citizens to this event, which begins at 7:30 p.m. The entrance opens at 6:30 p.m.

A highlight of the evening will be the New Year's concert by the district youth orchestra southern Weinstrasse (KJO) under the direction of Jochen Schnepf. The concert begins with the opening piece "On To The Next Frontier" by Richard L. Sauckedo, followed by other pieces such as "Nostradamus" by Otto M. Schwarz and "Voices of the Sky" by Samuel R. Hazo. In the second part of the concert, arrangements from "How to Train Your Dragon" by John Powell as well as film music from "Barbie" and "Hercules" are presented.

New Year's address and drink

As part of the event, District Administrator Seefeldt will also keep a New Year's address. Then those present are invited to a drink with small snacks. The New Year's reception also serves as an opportunity for networking.

Due to the expected number of visitors, registration is required by email to Aufdemältenweg@sUedliche-weinstrasse.de . In addition, the increased traffic volume and the parking situation are pointed out, which is why the use of local public transport is recommended. The nearest stops are "Maikammer, Church" and "Maikammer, Frantzplatz".
