Christmas joy for the needy: Speyer starts action Sternpücker!

A radiant light in the dark season! On Tuesday, November 26th at 1:00 p.m., the "Sternticker" campaign, which is excited excited, will open in the Speyer city library. Mayor Kabs, Pastor Gölzer from the Evangelical Total Church and Mrs. Bürger from the city library will together to decorate the festive Christmas tree, from which the visitors can "pick" a star. These stars are not just decoration, but a key to a Christmas present for people in need!

If you want to get involved as a "star picker", you can choose a star from November 26 and thus pay a donation of € 30. This donation finances a gift voucher that is presented to the guests of the "meal". Since 2008, this project has ensured that people in need in Speyer receive a warm meal every day. Hartz IV recipients in particular, homeless, asylum seekers and seniors with low pensions are dependent on support.

The peaceful Christmas season can be an emotional challenge for many guests. Loneliness and financial worries often make the festival at a difficult time. The "Sternpücker" campaign aims to bring the guests of the meal a little joy and light into their everyday life. The vouchers are presented at a festive Christmas dinner, and the generous donations of the Speyer citizens in recent years have made it possible to surprise even at short notice guests with gifts.
