An exciting finish! The women's league team TuS Heiligenstein rapidly shaken the first defeat of the season with a narrow 27:27 win at SG Lambsheim/Frankenthal on Sunday. On the hunt for victory, the Römerberg women showed that they are hungry for more, while the competition like HSG Dudenhofen/Schifferstadt and HSG Lingenfeld/Schwegenheim still stays close on their heels.

The start was anything but what Heiligenstein had hoped for. With 0: 2 they quickly fell behind, and the gap grew to 2: 6. But the unshakable Lisa-Marie Steffens came up! With a magnificent balance to 9: 9 in the 21st minute, she brought the team back into play. In an impressive effort, Heiligenstein seven goals in a row - madness! With a 14:10 lead, it was half time and Hanna Heinrich made sure that the distance grew to 16:10, which was the biggest lead of the game.

But the fighting spirit of SG Lambsheim/Frankenthal was unbroken! Despite the deficit, they could not be discouraged and came up to a goal. Even the 25:20 lead of the Heiligensteiner in the 49th minute could not reduce the pressure.
